Fall Afternoon Action on the Rigolets - New Orleans Inshore Trip

Hot bite and happy crew! Henry and their crew joined me for an afternoon fall session that started around midday with skies becoming cloudy in the afternoon, which actually worked in our favor on the Rigolets waters. The changing light conditions from the cloud cover made for ideal inshore fishing as we launched our Get'n Hooked Inshore Adventures trip.

With our gear rigged and ready, we focused our efforts using a combination of drift fishing, bottom fishing, and casting with lures to work the productive Rigolets area. The Rigolets system offers excellent inshore opportunities because of its diverse structure and tidal flow, making it perfect for multiple techniques throughout a single trip. We rotated between drifting the deeper channels, working the bottom structure, and casting lures along the shorelines to maximize our coverage. We didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it, and we wrapped up with great memories and plenty of action.
